Every restaurant on this site is selected editorially. We weigh a place's cooking, consistency, atmosphere, and significance to its neighborhood, and we favor places with a real point of view over whatever is merely new. Listings are reviewed on a weekly cycle: closures are removed, details are re-verified, and new places are added only when they genuinely belong.

Our Independence

Placement on this site cannot be bought. We do not accept payment, free meals, or other consideration in exchange for coverage, and restaurants cannot pay to be added, ranked higher, or kept on the site.
