Prince Street Pizza

A Nolita storefront barely wide enough for its own line, Prince Street Pizza built a global reputation on a single item: the spicy spring square, a thick Sicilian slice with crisped edges, fra diavola sauce, and small pepperoni that curl into cups of concentrated flavor in the oven.

The original shop begat outposts across the country, but the Prince Street line still forms daily for a reason — the squares here come out of ovens that never rest, at the pace of a shop that's been slammed for a decade. Get the pepperoni square, add a classic round slice if you're settling a debate, and eat on the stoop like everyone else.
